Nikki, a finance staff member, gave an update on the village’s 2025 lead service-line cost-share program. "In 2025, we've received 19 new applications. We had 8 applications rolled over from 2024. So the total amount that we're looking at being requested in dollar values of those 19 new applications and 8 carryover applications is a 184,100," Nikki said.
She added that only 14 applications have been paid to date and that some applicants remain in process pending inspections and restoration before final payment. Staff reported the program’s remaining budget at about $115,819, or approximately 39% of the original allocation, based on applications received so far.
Committee members discussed outreach and maintaining homeowner engagement; staff said the program group meets regularly and may send an additional letter to boost participation before year-end. No formal changes to the program were approved at the meeting.
