Council corrects code language: replaces 'food truck' with broader 'mobile business' term

Springdale’s Town Council unanimously approved a narrow amendment to the land‑use table in Chapter 10 that corrects an erroneous reference to “food truck” and replaces it with the broader term “mobile business.”
Planning staff said the table previously pointed to a nonexistent section (10-22-17) and that the correct cross-reference is 10-22-11. The change also standardizes terminology to ensure food trucks and other mobile businesses are treated consistently in the code.
Councilmember Randy Aton noted the change aligns with recent state guidance and ties to another item on the agenda. Council approved Ordinance 2025-13 to make the correction and to authorize the mayor to sign the ordinance.
The amendment is technical and intended to eliminate a drafting error and ensure consistent administration of mobile-business rules.
