One presenter summarized the city cost as “$0,” and the agreement states the property will be returned to the city lien-free and that the Chamber will complete construction and site work. Council asked the city attorney and staff to review the draft agreement; staff said a final executed contract will confirm promised maintenance and naming details.
Council voted to authorize the agreement and to allow the city manager to negotiate and execute necessary documents. Chamber and staff said they plan to finalize a private agreement with a construction timeline and turnkey delivery to the city.
