The extensions were requested because weather and personnel availability delayed the exterior stucco and window installation work. A representative for Dana Dance told the board that new windows were being installed at the time and that the group expected to return paperwork within about a week.
Board members discussed whether the DDA should adopt a standard response for recurring extension requests. Josh (city attorney) had recommended September 30 in an earlier email as a possible expiration date; the board instead agreed to amend the motion and set a 60‑day extension that results in a November 17, 2025 deadline.
A board member moved to approve the extensions for both Black Peak Leasing and Dana Dance; the motion was seconded and carried. The board then voted to amend the motion to set the new deadline to Nov. 17, 2025; the amendment was seconded and carried. Recorded votes on both the amendment and the final motion were unanimous in favor (see actions).
