William C. Fisher appeared Aug. 14 to contest a 2025 assessment of approximately $156,100 on a parcel containing two houses at 1014 Robinson Street. Fisher said one house on the lot is not habitable and asked that the assessment not increase above the prior level.

Fisher told the board he lives on the property and that one of the two houses on the lot is used only for storage; he said the house built in 1912 is "not livable" at present. The assessor's office and board members said the assessor had attempted outreach before the hearing and recommended a site review to determine whether the uninhabitable condition should reduce value further.

Board members voted unanimously to table the appeal and directed assessor staff to coordinate an interior inspection and to confer with Fisher informally before the board reconvenes on the parcel. The motion was seconded and passed without recorded dissent.
