District schedules four informational bond sessions this fall to present facility options

Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 staff announced four informational bond sessions to share proposed facility solutions and bonding options developed with input from a community task force.
Staff listed the session dates as Oct. 8, Oct. 18, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 and said the events will present proposed facility solutions and recommended bonding options. "We want as many community members to come as possible," the presenter said, noting the district will advertise through social media, postcards and flyers produced with a campaign company called Beyond Your Base.
The district said staff recorded short videos of the informational sessions to include on promotional materials and linked via QR codes to the district website. Staff asked for two board members to attend each session in light of Open Meetings Act guidance and said it would assign board members if scheduling conflicts arise.
Why it matters: the informational sessions are intended to inform voters and stakeholders about facility constraints and proposed bonding approaches before any ballot question or formal bond proposal is presented.
Next steps: staff will finalize media production in early September and continue outreach; board members were asked to confirm availability for attendance at the sessions.
