City staff told the Workforce Housing Committee that the Home of My Own contract with Yavapai County is scheduled for City Council consideration on Sept. 9 and that the housing‑needs assessment consultants will present findings to council next week, with a fuller study‑session presentation planned for December.
Amber (staff member) said, “We do have all of the legal contract documents back from the county, and that is on the agenda for September 9, next Tuesday … Jeremy Dye, the development services director for Yavapai County, as well as the assistant, development services director, Mark Lason, is go both are gonna be in attendance.”
Staff asked committee members to attend the council presentation if possible to show support. The committee also discussed scheduling and having a voice at the December study session, and several members volunteered to meet one‑on‑one with council members before the study session if requested.
Ending: Home of My Own contract and the housing needs assessment presentation are on the council calendar; staff will confirm speakers and return to the committee with the final policy draft and meeting plan for the December study session.
