Provo School Board approves package of revised policies, sends gender-inclusive schools policy back to committee

PROVO, Utah — The Provo City School Board on Aug. 26 approved a group of revised district policies covering board legal status, elections and redistricting, board powers and duties, disciplinary procedures, nondiscrimination, juvenile-notification rules, conduct on school premises and student board members, and voted to send policy 3300 (gender-inclusive schools) back to the policy committee for further work. The changes were presented by Superintendent Wendy Dow and discussed in public meeting after an earlier study session; board members voted unanimously on each approval.
