Where roll call votes were recorded for individual items, commissioners voted in favor. For the initial resolution introduced separately (the county appropriation exceedance), the clerk recorded yes votes from Deputy Director Oster; Commissioner Timmerman; Commissioner Taylor; Commissioner Ramsey; and Director Lauer. Several grouped resolution packages were adopted by unanimous voice or by the recorded motions on the agenda.
The board also passed a resolution authorizing the county to enter executive session to discuss matters related to contract negotiations, acquisition of real property and attorney–client privileged matters. The board said it expected the closed session to last about 30 minutes and did not anticipate taking further votes after returning, other than adjournment.
No substantive discussion of contract terms or grant award amounts occurred on the public record for most procurement items; the board approved the items as presented on the agenda. Commissioners directed staff to continue regular procurement and grant processes and scheduled the budget public hearing for April 16.
