SHAC approves district wellness plan updates after district edits; one member abstains

The SHAC voted to approve the wellness plan with those additional district edits. The motion passed by voice/hand vote with one abstention recorded.
A presenter noted the timeline and that the work group had reconciled the district’s suggested edits with the SHAC’s prior approval; no substantial new policy changes were presented at the meeting beyond the incorporated revisions. The council recorded one abstention during the vote; no nays were recorded.
The SHAC’s wellness plan and the work group’s summary of district edits will be submitted as the council’s official recommendation and record to the district.
