The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees approved three district leadership appointments on March 18, each by voice vote with a 7–0 tally.
Doctor Knowles recommended Sarah Howard to serve as principal of Bush Elementary, noting her experience in multiple Conroe ISD leadership roles. Trustees voted to accept the recommendation; the motion carried 7–0. Howard addressed the board and the community, thanking trustees and committing to “upholding the established values and standards of Bush Elementary.”
Doctor Knowles also recommended Chelsea Harness as the next principal of Collins Intermediate. Trustees approved the recommendation by a 7–0 vote. Harness, who has served in Conroe ISD for more than 15 years, thanked mentors and family and pledged to continue the campus’s tradition of high performance.
The board approved Dana Fisher as director of health services, also by a 7–0 vote. Fisher told trustees she has a 27‑year nursing career and has served Conroe ISD campuses as a campus nurse and health services specialist, and she thanked the board and district staff for the opportunity.
All three votes were made from the consent or human‑resources agenda during the open meeting and appear in the official minutes as unanimous approvals.
