The Johnson County Board of Supervisors on Aug. 21 adopted two zoning ordinances on their third and final consideration and approved a resolution setting a public hearing on additional zoning and planning applications for Sept. 11, 2025.
The actions affect applications PCC-25-28707 and PCC-25-28723, which were adopted after roll-call votes resulting in 4-0 tallies, and a separate resolution was approved to set a public hearing for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Third Floor Boardroom 301 of the Health and Human Services Building.
Supervisor Remington moved approval of the first ordinance and Supervisor Green Douglas seconded; roll call recorded all four supervisors voting "aye." The board repeated the process for the second ordinance, again recording a 4-0 vote. For the hearing resolution, the board authorized the auditor to publish notice and approved the Sept. 11 date and 5:30 p.m. time by 4-0 vote.
The ordinances were described on the record by agenda item references (PCC-25-28707 and PCC-25-28723). The hearing resolution specifies the Third Floor Boardroom 301 at the Health and Human Services Building for public comment and instructs the auditor to publish the required notice.
No public comment on the zoning items was recorded in the meeting transcript, and no amendments to the ordinances were noted during the board’s consideration. The board followed standard roll-call procedure to record each approval.
