District honors BPA national competitor and holds first GMCS bike rally awards

The board recognized Catherine Dennettclaw, a student who represented the district at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Orlando and finished as a national finalist in intermediate word processing. Assistant Superintendent Kaitlyn Matania introduced the recognition and the board invited Catherine and her BPA advisor, Anna Tapell, to the front for a presentation.

The event featured three races and an overall team champion; Tallahatchie Middle School received the team plaque. Individual race winners included Dwinton Slivers, Elrick Mann and Jaden Soon. Board members and attendees thanked volunteers, local partners such as Silver Stallion and the McKinley County Sheriff's Department for support.
