Board members discussed adding language to endorse a larger appropriation; the board attorney advised language could be added to reference the amount in the bill and to express support for additional funding if the board wished.
Legal counsel revised the draft to track SB93 and to permit the board to request additional funding in the final resolution language. The resolution was placed on the consent agenda and the consent motion passed during the consent vote (recorded votes: Board members Montoya, Aspis, Soh, Wells and President voted yes). The board instructed staff to finalize the resolution wording to include the agreed language and to circulate the signed resolution to legislative contacts.
