The White Oak Borough Council on Aug. 18 approved Resolution 2025‑13 to authorize a $150,000 grant request under the GEDTF program through the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County to support the Veterans Memorial Development Project. The resolution designates the borough manager as the authorized signatory for grant documents. Council members moved, seconded and voted “Aye” on the resolution; no opposition was recorded. Why it matters: The requested GEDTF (Growing Entrepreneurial Development Trust Fund) grant would fund part of the Veterans Memorial Development Project, for which the borough also has fundraising options such as commemorative bricks and donor items that were discussed by Parks and Recreation earlier in the meeting. The council passed the resolution by voice vote; staff said the application will be submitted before the county deadline.
