City Engineer Jesse Storey asked the council to adopt the resolution so the county can proceed with its reconstruction work. “This is actually a county project, but since it's in city limits, they need our approval with a resolution,” Storey said. Councilors approved the resolution by voice vote; one councilor clarified the resolution number on the record.
The council’s approval does not itself appropriate construction funds for the city; rather, it provides formal municipal concurrence so the county project can move forward under the county’s procurement and construction schedule. Staff did not list additional conditions in the council discussion.
