The Ashwaubenon Site Plan Review Committee on April 15 approved temporary signage packages for NFL draft events at a bar at 2001 Holmgren Way and for the Great North Commons at 789 Armed Forces Way.
Aaron, a village staff member, described the bar's request as two banners flanking the stage and a banner across the top, similar to typical concert advertising, and said staff had no issues given the surrounding zoning. He noted the packages exceeded the 32-square-foot threshold that requires committee review rather than administrative approval.
For the Great North Commons, staff described a branded temporary bar at the rear of the site and advertising wraps on stage supports for sponsors (transcribed as "Bud Light and Hoop Tee"). The committee confirmed that inflatable signage is not allowed; resident Andy Symansky asked specifically about inflatables and provided his name and address on the record. After motions and seconds, the committee approved both temporary sign packages; all members voted in favor and the motions carried.
The approvals are for temporary event signage only. The record notes applicants must follow zoning and the village's temporary-sign rules; no additional permits or infractions were reported during the meeting.
