Holliston administrators reported that the high-school auditorium LED lighting upgrade is largely complete and that new control panels now allow staff to set house-light levels and preprogram stage lighting, officials said during the Aug. 28 meeting.
The vendor recorded demonstrations that included student participation, and administrators held a recent training session attended by staff and students. District electrician Jim Shepherd was credited for helping keep project costs down. School leaders said a few minor components remain to be finished but all major work is complete.
Committee members were shown demonstration video and photos of the new lighting system during the meeting; administrators said the new system will give greater flexibility for performances and events and reduce maintenance demands compared with legacy equipment.
