Superintendent search: no RFP responses; committee reaching out to firms directly

The Holliston School Committee’s search for a superintendent is moving forward after an initial request-for-proposals (RFP) produced no responses, the committee was told Aug. 28.
Administrators said the RFP was published in early August and yielded no proposals, so staff have begun direct outreach to search firms. The administration reported interest from at least one firm and said it will request additional materials and completed-search examples from candidates. The committee’s schedule calls for selecting a search firm by mid-September and beginning to field candidates in September with a hiring decision targeted for the October timeframe.
Committee members asked for references and prior-search materials from prospective firms and requested that recommended firms attend by Zoom if possible for the next committee meeting. Administrators said they would aim to present a recommendation at the next meeting and to invite responding firms to speak with the committee.
