The Ashwaubenon Site Plan Review Committee voted July 1 to allow up to five temporary "Welcome to Training Camp" banners around Clarke Hinkle Field for the Green Bay Packers' 2025 training camp, with installation and removal timing conditions.
The approval requires the banners be installed no sooner than one week before the start of training camp and removed within one week after its conclusion. Aaron, a village staff member, told the committee the 2025 request is the same submittal used in prior years and contains a year typo in the packet.
"This is honestly a cut and paste from 2024 because it is exactly the same submittal, as the past few years," Aaron said. He also noted the only substantive change is the sponsorship shield, which now shows Bellin Health as a sponsor.
Committee member Gary moved to approve the request; a second followed and the motion carried with no further discussion. A representative of the Packers was present in the audience but did not speak during the committee discussion.
The committee record shows the banners follow past practice for training-camp signage and that sponsorship displays may vary year to year. No permits or fees were described in the meeting record for the temporary signs.
