The Ashwaubenon Site Plan Review Committee on June 3 approved a site plan review request to add a third wall sign for Packer City International at 611 Hanson Road (Parcel VA-1734).
Village staff member Aaron told the committee the requested sign is a logo above the main entrance on the diagonal elevation that fronts Hanson Road, Ashland and the Wisconsin Central Railroad corridor. "In terms of the sign elevation, it's the international logo that you see here, item A. Again, it's just the logo above the main entrance, or the main window, on that elevation," Aaron said.
Aaron said third wall sign requests are common in that area and that, because the location is a heavily trafficked industrial area, Village staff had no concerns about the request. A committee member moved to approve the site plan review; the motion carried.
The approval allows the applicant to proceed with the sign as shown in the submitted elevation. The committee did not attach additional conditions during the meeting. Any required permits or inspections tied to sign installation were not discussed in detail.
The committee handled the item as part of its regular site plan review agenda and recorded the motion as approved.
