City Clerk Molly told the council on Feb. 17 that the final request for proposals (RFP) for a city classification and compensation study was posted in February after the council's requested updates were incorporated. Administrator Hafner reviewed the RFP, and staff decided to post in February to keep the study on a timeline that would allow completion before the budget cycle.
Molly said the RFP changes were based on council direction from December and that she had not received additional feedback after that month. "In order to stay on the timeline, it was determined that we would go ahead and post it in the February," she said.
The clerk also reminded the council the city was set up for an election the next day and that turnout was expected to be low; she noted the next election on April 1 would include state superintendent and other regional/state races.
Ending: The clerk said staff will monitor responses to the RFP and return with results consistent with the timeline needed for the 2026 budget cycle.
