Park and Rec advances long-range plan; Public Works flags street and development items

City commissions reported progress on planning and public works items at the Feb. 17 Delafield Common Council meeting.
The Park and Recreation Commission reported it had completed and approved six additional chapters of its five-year long-range plan; the commission has about four chapters remaining plus goals, strategy and analysis sections. "There are 12 for the parks, and then there's a, goals and summary and strategy, analysis section. So there's about 4 more chapters, 12 done, 4 to go," an alderman said.
Public Works reported on Feb. 5 that it reviewed several items the council has already seen, including the 2025 street improvement plan, the Genesee Street path extension and a proposed condominium development at 805 Wells Street. The committee expects to bring recommendations or follow-up items back to the council at a future meeting.
Ending: Councilmembers thanked commissioners for progress reports and indicated they expect more detailed recommendations on street improvements and the 805 Wells Street proposal in coming meetings.
