County staff reports slight delay in campus bridge project; concrete and paving dates set

County staff reported a minor schedule shift on the campus bridge project with grading, concrete, paving, landscaping and a final walkthrough scheduled between June 6 and the week of July 7; staff said the project remains essentially within budget.
County project staff updated the Campus Reconfiguration Committee on the status and near-term schedule for the campus bridge project.
Josh, who provided the update, said work has experienced a “slight delay” in mobilization but described a sequence of upcoming activities: subcontractor Colin McGuire is expected to complete grading by June 9; a concrete subcontractor will mobilize the week of June 16 to finish concrete work (curb, gutter, sidewalks and concrete pavement); asphalt paving is scheduled for June 23; site touch-ups and additional concrete work would follow; landscaping crews will complete planting and finish work afterward; and a final walk-through is planned between June 30 and the week of July 7.
A committee member asked whether the project remains within budget; the response reported it was “still basically in budget.” No formal action was taken; the update was informational and the committee approved minutes and moved on to other agenda items.
