Council approves Brewfinity’s temporary off‑site retail alcohol application for Sept. 7 event

The Delafield Common Council approved a municipal application Aug. 18 that allows Brewfinity Brewing to pursue state approval to operate a temporary off‑site retail alcohol location for an event scheduled Sept. 7, 2025. Council members described the municipal authorization as similar to a picnic license and a step required by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue before the state issues final approval.
Chad Ostrom of Brewfinity told the council the company meets the state's requirements for off‑site retail sales and that the municipal approval merely informs the municipality and clears the local step in the state process. "We meet the requirements for us to do that, but I think they just want the municipalities to understand and be informed," Ostrom said.
The application was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; there were no substantive public objections recorded at the meeting.
