The applicant sought the variance so he could enclose a portion of the rear yard that faces Blackberry Drive; the board found the proposal would not obstruct sight lines at the intersection and no written opposition was on the record. Ottenberg told the board his plan is to construct a six-foot cedar fence covering a 24-foot run along one side of his house and a 32-foot run to the property edge, incorporating an established tree and a gate.
