Council asked questions about optional line items for crosswalk markings, concrete material uniformity across contractors and schedule. Staff said the alternate items covered thicker, longer‑lasting pavement markings and that all contractors would use the same concrete specification so repairs would match.
The contract includes a 75‑calendar‑day completion schedule; staff estimated work would start about five days after notice to proceed and finish sometime in October, weather permitting. Council approved the award by roll call.
