The updated scope is intended to ensure the design and repair scope is comprehensive before the city proceeds with repairs. Anna Killeen Hanson said the update will be narrower than the original multi‑phase study and that the fee proposed is $11,500 with a target completion date of Dec. 31, 2025. Commissioner questions sought the cost of the prior study; staff later reported a prior invoice of $87,675 for the earlier assessment. Commissioners emphasized that engineering reports should lead to action—repair or demolition—rather than indefinite study. The motion to approve the assessment (resolution 25‑97) passed unanimously; staff said the updated report will inform the next steps and anticipated a reasonable timeline to deliver the assessment before winter weather accelerates degradation.
