Commission confirms FY2026 officers and representatives; appoints Amelia DeMars as Grand Isle County youth member

The Northwest Regional Planning Commission approved a slate of officers and representatives for fiscal year 2026 and confirmed a youth member representing Grand Isle County.

The nominating committee presented a slate that named Peter Zamor as chair, Andy Auling as vice chair, Barclay Morris as secretary and Kirk Waite as treasurer; committee chairs and executive committee members were also listed. Separately, the commission confirmed Amelia DeMars as the youth member for Grand Isle County. Commissioners discussed DeMars—s community involvement; a nominating committee member said DeMars volunteers for early literacy programs and youth sports and had offered insights on commission issues.
