The issue drew public comment earlier from Natalie Vidal, a parent who asked the district to create a “Slack or committee” to oversee book removal decisions and to publish transparency on books removed or under review. Vidal said books such as The Handmaid’s Tale had been removed and urged the district to follow the statutory challenge process under SB 13 and HB 900.
