Superintendent Denise Hirt replied that the district needed to be sure everyone was using the same terminology and that "open enrollment is different than inter district," adding that the policies and legal frameworks differ. Hirt offered a follow‑up meeting: "If you're comfortable, I can give you a call. We can schedule something, you can come in and we can sit down and look at that." Board members asked staff to follow up with Vencel and provide the requested policy materials.
