The Fremont City Schools Board approved a block of consent items that included donations, multiple service contracts, personnel changes and wage schedules during its regular meeting.
On donations and contracts the board approved item 1 (donations) and approved item 2 after a correction: district staff said the Dalton Harp contract should read “not to exceed $10,000” for digital media services. The board also approved a contract renewal with the Association for Private Counseling and a service agreement with Michael Debrunz to provide laundering of cloth services for athletics in a joint effort between two districts.
Personnel actions approved included granting a high school diploma to student Hayden Sampson (item 6); the hiring of Katrina Crowell as a school nurse (start effective the day materials were received); lists of certified and support substitutes; supplemental contracts including teacher mentors; and a request for Miss Miller to attend a September EMIS conference (item 17). Board members also approved substitute wage schedules for administrative, certified, and support staff.
Motions across the consent items were routinely moved and seconded (for example, several motions were moved by Ms. Lehman and seconded by Mrs. Bloom or Mr. Nalley) and passed by roll call. No individual consent item was removed for separate discussion at the meeting.
