City staff on Aug. 12 recommended awarding a $78,400 contract to Gosley Construction Corporation to upgrade and enclose the utility supply building on Adams Street.
City Manager Bill Burrow told the board the work had been bid (bid package 25 0 40) for labor and materials to upgrade the existing supply building and construct a new pole barn; however, only the enclosed supply-building improvements fall within the available budget. Five bids were received and Gosley submitted the lowest responsible bid at $78,400, staff said. Finance staff provided a certificate of availability and the funds are budgeted in the operating budget.
The item was previewed on Aug. 12 and scheduled for formal action at the Aug. 19 meeting; no vote or mover/second was recorded during the preview.
