City says departments transitioning to BS&A software; some permit offices to stop credit-card payments during switch

City Manager Bill Burrow informed the Board that the City of Hot Springs is implementing BS&A Software, a municipal software platform, and that departments are participating in training the week of Aug. 25. Burrow said engineering and planning and development will lead the initial transition and are expected to go live on Sept. 8.
Burrow warned that those departments will not be able to accept credit-card payments during the September transition window and will only accept checks or cash at affected counters. He provided contact phone numbers for engineering and permitting for questions and said staff will provide additional updates as the go-live date approaches.
Burrow outlined expected functionality to follow, including digital payments, digital permit applications and scheduling inspections. The board did not take any formal action on the implementation during the meeting.
