A staff member told the council that the notice of award for the pickleball contract was sent to Mayfield and the borough is awaiting the contractor's return of documents to execute the contract. "He expects that they would be in working this year before the winter months," the staff member said. Separately, the Borough Manager said new playground equipment funded by an $80,000 grant will arrive and be installed around the week of Sept. 17. The manager described the installation sequence: placement of a sub-base, equipment footers, equipment installation, and final refined playground mulch; staff estimated the installation will take about a week to 10 days. Curb and sidewalk work along the front of Diamond Street is planned to complete the project. The council received these status updates as staff reports; no formal vote or contract award was recorded at the meeting.
