Council also adopted a multi-parcel annexation for an approximately 37.906-acre Keller/Cypher Enterprises property in Allen Township after approving committee reports recommending the requested zoning designations. Council recorded motions and roll-call votes for each adoption and confirmed that necessary service resolutions were filed indicating what city services will be provided to the annexed territories. Several council members asked for additional updates about city-owned properties (the former fire station) and noted that some annexations are procedural steps to enable future public improvements or to clarify jurisdiction for roadwork; staff told council that annexation is often required to allow the city to perform work or accept grants on certain roadways.
