The Village Board accepted the immediate resignation of Village Treasurer Christopher Dement during the Aug. 19 meeting.
The matter was discussed during closed session and the board reconvened in open session. A motion to accept the resignation was made and seconded; roll‑call votes listed trustees Barheide, Brooks, Polley, Schaeffer, Gantt and Hopkins as voting "yes," and the board president announced an affirmative vote as well. The motion passed and the resignation took effect immediately.
