The group debated size and visual impact and discussed possible funding models; staff estimated that bronze‑style markers could cost substantially more than a $20 price and said they would research vendor pricing and whether the city could subsidize initial signs. Members suggested keeping design, wording and size uniform to avoid sign clutter.
No formal eligibility criteria or fee schedule were adopted. Staff said they would return with options, cost estimates and a proposed program framework so the committee could refine eligibility rules and a possible application process.
