Milton resets municipal precincts and polling places to mirror Fulton County for 2025 election

The Milton City Council on Sept. 3 approved a resolution formally establishing the city’s municipal precincts and polling-place locations for the 2025 municipal elections to mirror Fulton County’s configuration while Fulton County conducts a special election.
Deputy City Manager Stacy Inglis told the council that because Fulton County will conduct the election this year due to a special election, Milton is reverting to the county’s precinct layout. "This resolution resets that election structure back to 13 precincts with 6 polling places that matches Fulton County," Inglis said, adding that required public notices have been published and staff will complete remaining notifications.
Inglis said early voting will be available at the Milton Library. No public comment was offered during the item. The council approved agenda item 25-240 on a motion from Council member Grama with a second from Council member Jan Jacobus; the motion passed unanimously with five members present.
Staff did not identify changes to polling locations beyond restoring the Fulton County arrangement; Inglis said staff will post notices at former polling sites and complete statutory notifications. Council members did not request further changes or direct additional administrative work beyond the posted notifications.
