City park gazebo, dog park and playground projects move forward; scout cabin plans still under review

At the dog park, staff plan to install solar-powered lighting and will construct an 88-foot pathway from the gate to the first shade structure; one bid for the pathway was about $3,200 and staff expect work to start within a week after signatures. Staff also reported they have two quotes for architectural work on the scout cabin; both were expensive and staff said they would explore revising scope to bring costs down. A playground grand opening is scheduled for Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with light refreshments and community activities.
