Annapolis, Sept. 2 — The Anne Arundel County Council unanimously approved amendments to the watershed protection and restoration fee (WPRF) program to improve consistency in fee assessments.
Ethan Hunt, representing the administration, introduced the bill and said the Department of Public Works requested the changes to ensure greater consistency in assessments. Staff present included Eric Michaelson, senior environmental policy officer, and Sally Sidlowski, stormwater-fee program manager. No online testimony was received and no public speakers signed up for the hearing. The council adopted the bill by roll call 7-0.
Ending The office said it can answer implementation questions as projects come forward; the amendments are intended as technical refinements rather than policy shifts.
