Staff said the designation "waives the exam" for the candidate under the 55-a criteria and that the state agency also provided recommended workplace accommodations. The panel moved, seconded and approved the resolution on a voice vote.
Panel members noted the candidate is currently performing in the program custodian role and that the designation formalizes his appointment without the standard competitive examination. No salary or funding figures were discussed during the vote.
