The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Friday approved Resolution 25-708, a resolution of necessity authorizing the purchase or lease of motor vehicles for the county sheriff’s use, and commissioners were told the sheriff’s office seeks to purchase a covert vehicle for the county drug task force. Michael Roy, finance director for the sheriff’s office, said the action covers purchase of a covert vehicle for the drug task force. The board approved the resolution by unanimous vote. No purchase price or vendor was discussed at the meeting; commissioners recorded the vote and acknowledged the sheriff’s office staff in attendance.
