The Town Commission approved Resolution 2025‑08 revising the town’s facility rental policy, increasing weekend rental rates, adding a chair storage fee and expanding permitted rental hours, staff said at the Sept. meeting.
Elise (staff member) summarized the changes: weekend rates will increase modestly, Friday evening rental hours were extended, and a chair storage fee will be added to cover staff time moving and storing chairs brought by renters. Staff said the Friday rental fee will remain essentially the same but the weekend block will increase — the packet described moving resident 4‑hour and 8‑hour blocks from $400/$600 to roughly $600/$800 with additional hours (the new block allows use from 9 a.m. until midnight). The resolution also formalizes full‑day rentals for Saturdays and Sundays and evening rental policies for Fridays.
Commission discussion included a question about whether the security deposit amount (reported in the packet as $350) would cover typical damage costs; staff replied that the deposit has been covering damages to date. A motion to approve Resolution 2025‑08 was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Ending: Staff said the changes aim to standardize hours, cover staff costs for chair handling and better match market rates; enforcement and administrative details will be handled through the town’s reservations process.
