The Finance Administration Committee on Aug. 21 received a status update on the borough’s zoning reconfiguration work and an anticipated schedule for review. Staff said consultants and staff members are merging draft sections and expect a full draft to be available to the planning commission for its October meeting.
The committee was told planning commission review will be iterative: commissioners will review the draft in October, staff will revise and present again in November and December, and if planning commission recommends the changes the council could authorize advertising in December and adopt the reconfiguration in January. Todd Gressey was not present but submitted a written report noted by staff.
Committee members expressed support for moving forward on the timeline and staff said they will continue follow-up meetings to merge edits and finalize a draft for the planning commission.
