The district has launched a breakfast program at Morton Junior High with an initial participation of roughly 15–20 students; staffing plans for breakfast at Morton High School are still under development. The board discussed goals for expanding participation.
Morton High School phase‑one construction is progressing: interior floors are polished, painting and electronic door systems are being installed, and exterior aluminum panels and signage remain; staff said the building should be usable before the end of the month. Summer projects (including East Gym renovation) have been packaged for bid with openings in March; some items will be alternates dependent on costs returned.
Board members discussed phasing of projects, coordination with the village and McLean County’s adjacent countywide facility sales‑tax developments that could affect future funding opportunities.
