Board adopts 2025–2030 strategic plan

The California Board of Occupational Therapy voted March 6 to approve a 2025–2030 strategic plan that consolidates board priorities across licensing, enforcement, outreach and organizational effectiveness. Board staff said the plan incorporated interviews with members, staff and stakeholders plus survey responses and that the document groups goals under licensing, enforcement, outreach/communication, laws and regulations and organizational effectiveness.
Board members had an opportunity to request edits and to confirm that goals discussed during earlier planning sessions were reflected in the draft. No substantive changes were requested at the meeting; a motion to adopt the plan passed on roll call with all five board members present voting yes: Hector Cabrera (yes); Linda Doe (yes); Richard Bookwalter (yes); Christine Wittlisbach (yes); and Beata Morcos (yes). The plan will guide staff and board priorities for the next four years.
