A petitioner seeking a special exception to allow gasoline sales at 795 North Emerson on Aug. 25 asked the Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals for a continuance, and the board granted the request to Sept. 22.

Petitioner Eric Prime asked the board for more time so the development team could continue working with planning staff and refine their presentation. Board members and staff confirmed municipal calendars had room for the Sept. 22 date, and the board voted 5‑0 to continue the case.

The board chair told the petitioner that staff anticipated seeing updated plans before the next hearing. No substantive testimony or a vote on the merits occurred at the Aug. 25 meeting; the continuance preserves the item for the Sept. 22 hearing.
