At its September meeting the Greenwood Economic Development Commission approved payment of an invoice for a half-page advertisement in the Aspire Economic Development and Chamber Alliance 2025 business guide.

Greg Wright, City of Cornwall, presented the invoice and said, “The 2025 business guide cost is $1,107.23.” Wright said the commission typically pays such charges from its promotional budget and asked that the finance department be authorized to pay the invoice.

A commissioner moved to approve placement of the ad and payment of the $1,107.23 invoice; another commissioner seconded the motion. Chair called for a voice vote; commissioners said “Aye,” and the motion passed.

One commissioner asked whether the ad had appeared; Wright said the invoice is dated July 27 and indicated the guide had been printed. The commission did not change budget lines during the vote; members noted they will consider other requests for remaining funds at future meetings.

No formal objections were recorded in the meeting transcript and the finance department was asked to process the payment from the EDC promotional line.
