Gahanna City Council on Tuesday voted to enter a brief executive session to consider the appointment of public employees or officials and to review expiring commission and board member terms.
Vice President Trenton Weaver moved to enter executive session under the authority cited in the council rules; the motion was seconded by Councilman Schnetzer and carried on a roll call vote with Weaver, Schnetzer, Padova, Bowers, Jones and Councilwoman Nancy MacGregor voting yes and one member absent. Council president said there would be no legislation coming out of the session and that council would immediately adjourn upon its conclusion.
The executive session was described as a personnel and appointments matter; no board or commission appointments or changes were announced in open session at the Sept. 2 meeting.
